Overview

A tribute to freedom

My sculpture "Prometheus Freed" is inspired by the central figure of the work of Aeschylus' Prometheus Freed, the second of three major literary works of the Greek tragedy. "Prometheus Unbound" is a tribute to freedom, which is achieved through struggle and loyalty to our own values. Similar to exile Prometheus on a rocky island, this work is located in a Classic Villa at Port Iztapa at the Guatemalan Pacific Ocean. The sound of the waves pounding on the shore serves to reinforce the idea of the endless struggle to defend his principles. This sculpture is made of polished cast concrete, 2.2m high on a 1.5m high base.
